چکیده
This study aims to compare normality tests in different sample sizes data with normal distribution under kurtosis and skewness coefficients obtained simulatively. To this end, firstly, simulative were produced using the MATLAB program for skewness/kurtosis sizes. The analysis of each type was conducted ten tests; namely, (Kolmogorov Smirnov (KS) Test, KS Stephens Modification, Marsaglia, Lilliefors Anderson-Darling Cramer- Von Mises Shapiro-Wilk Shapiro-Francia Jarque-Bera D’Agostino & Pearson Test). As a result analyses according tests, it found that not affected by size when equal or close zero; however, cases where moved away from zero, are size, such tend give significant results. Therefore, large samples, may be suggested critical values coefficients’ z-scores as proposed Kim (2013) Mayers histogram graphs used.

Skewness and kurtosis as locally best invariant tests of normality
Consider testing normality against a one-parameter family of univariate distributions containing the normal distribution as the boundary, e.g., the family of t-distributions or an infinitely divisible family with finite variance. We prove that under mild regularity conditions, the sample skewness is the locally best invariant (LBI) test of normality against a wide class of asymmetric families a...
متن کاملBehaviour of skewness, kurtosis and normality tests in long memory data
We establish the limiting distributions for empirical estimators of the coefficient of skewness, kurtosis, and the Jarque–Bera normality test statistic for long memory linear processes. We show that these estimators, contrary to the case of short memory, are neither √ n-consistent nor asymptotically normal. The normalizations needed to obtain the limiting distributions depend on the long memory...

testing plays a vital role in any language teaching program. it allows teachers and stakeholders, including program administrators, parents, admissions officers and prospective employers to be assured that the learners are progressing according to an accepted standard (douglas, 2010). the problems currently facing language testers have both practical and theoretical implications but the first i...
